The Village Square pool is Now Closed
The board of directors have not approved opening the pool at this time. The current New Hanover County Health Department restrictions are more than the HOA can comply with. The two main issues faced by the board in reopening the pool are occupancy and sanitation.

The opening restrictions only allow for 50% occupancy in the pool with separate numbers for occupants in the pool itself and another amount allowed on the pool deck. There is no way to limit the number of people in the pool and on the pool deck that is required by the restrictions without staffing the pool.

Sanitation of contact surfaces would need to be conducted frequently. Sufficient sanitation of contact surfaces would be required more often than what can be provided as the pool is not staffed.

Once the NC Governor's office and the New Hanover County Health Department lifts the restrictions in place the HOA board will consider opening the pool.
